Lourdes Kalusha-Aguirre is a filmmaker and photographer with video production experience in the U.S. and El Salvador, including community-focused documentary projects and client work for mission-based organizations.

After graduating in 2020 with a B.A. in Film and Media Studies from the University of Kansas, she produced and co-directed “Searching for La Yarda,” a documentary centered on a Mexican-American community in her hometown of Lawrence, KS. After the premiere of the documentary, she spent four years in New York City, where she worked as a Video Producer at Really Useful Media, producing, filming and editing videos for clients including the New York Hall of Science, Queens Public Library, and the National Book Foundation.

She is currently based in Lawrence, KS.
